Regional Medical Center Development in Kuldīga

"A regional medical center and clinic are being developed in Kuldīga to provide high-quality medical services as close to home as possible for both Kuldīga residents and those from the surrounding region," said Ivars Eglītis, Chairman of the Board of SIA “MEDICĪNAS CENTRS”, during a meeting with Inese Astaševska, Chairwoman of the Kuldīga Municipality Council, and Deputy Aris Roberts. Also present at the meeting was Krists Dabra, Manager of SIA “MEDICĪNAS CENTRS”. Active construction work is underway on Smilšu Street in Kuldīga, and a modern clinic is expected to be completed and operational by the end of this year. The clinic will be a three-story building with a total area of nearly 800 m², combining a historical structure with new construction. It is planned to house a group practice of family doctors, where six family physicians will work under one roof. The premises will be modern, spacious, and accessible for people with special needs.The clinic is the first phase of the Kuldīga Medical Center’s construction. Phases two and three will follow. Preparation and coordination of documentation for the next stages are already in progress. The entire Medical Center is expected to be completed by 2026.The Medical Center will be a place where professional specialists provide medical services to the local population right here in the heart of Kurzeme – Kuldīga.
